Disposal of items

Following a de-cluttering session there are likely to be a number of bags or boxes filled with items that you no longer want. If will be agreed at the time of contract who has responsibility for any such items. Anything falling outside of agreed upon services will be the responsibility of you the client to dispose of. You will need to make arrangements for the disposal of these items, for example to the refuse depo, a charity shop or to some other form of recycling organization. I am happy to advise you where possible on who may be able to help you achieve this.

Limits of work

During the session Make a Space are happy to assist with cleaning the working area as part of the task. I am also happy to move or carry items that are within my physical ability. Where heavier items will need moving however, you will need to make alternate arrangements, i.e., a member of the family, a neighbourhood friend or a handyman.

Hours of work

Make a Space understand de-cluttering can be tiring both physically and emotionally, so I tend to advise clients to pace themselves, having drinks and rest stops when they feel they need to.

During the process of de-cluttering decisions about whether you keep or dispose of an item will always remain your decision. Make a Space cannot accept responsibility for the outcome of these decisions, although we will help and support you to make a decision that you feel is right for you. Whilst working with you and your possessions great care will be taken when handling goods. However accidents and breakages can happen. In such circumstances Make a Space will not be liable for damages and losses, which should be covered by your own household insurance.

We will not be liable to you for any loss of profits, administrative inconvenience, disappointment, indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of any problem in relation to the goods or services provided and we shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than any refund we make under these conditions. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer, nor is it intended to exclude our liability to you for fraudulent misrepresentation or for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence.

It is accepted that cancellation is sometimes unavoidable. If we at Make a Space have to cancel, we will give as much notice as is possible. We understand that everyone is busy and we are flexible where we can be but please note before booking that a 48 Hour cancellation policy applies.
